Volunteer Coordinator (2 positions) – Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all volunteer activities for the girls. These individuals will gather the necessary number of volunteers needed for all activities throughout the year. Responsibilities also include tracking all Girls of Virtue points accrued and all hours worked by volunteers and members. The Volunteer Coordinators will enthusiastically welcome all new volunteers to events and conduct the volunteer training sessions. These positions will require a one-year commitment and a minimum of five hours of devotion a month.

Mentor Coordinator (2 positions) - Responsible for mentor and mentee matching, which is based on a questionnaire. These individuals will schedule and conduct new mentor orientations as well as monitor the mentor/mentee relationships. The Mentor Coordinators will work along with the Girls of Virtue counselor to communicate the potential needs of the girls. These positions will require a one-year commitment and a minimum of five hours of devotion a month.

Mentor (25 positions) - Responsible for providing a positive, one-on-one mentoring relationship in order to help mentees discover their abilities, and broaden their experiences and opportunities. A minimum commitment of one year is mandatory. Mentors will be required to meet with their mentees two to four times a month. The positions require a minimum of eight hours a month to a maximum of 20 hours a month of devotion. Mentors and mentees will choose a project for the year and work together in order to ensure that the goal has been met.

Administrative Director – This individual will oversee the operations for the entire Administrative Department. Department tasks will be divided amongst department members in order to ensure timeliness and efficiency. This position will require a one-year commitment and 20 hours of devotion a month.

Administrative Assistant – This person will be responsible for assisting in documenting all enrollment forms, and running background checks for volunteer and mentor applications. Other duties include, but are not limited to, sorting and logging all incoming mail via postal mail, e-mail and/or phone. This person will also handle all outgoing mail such as bill payments, cards (reminders, birthday, sympathy, etc.), and sponsorship information. Welcome packages, the assignment of duties, petty cash handling, and inventory and equipment maintenance will be monitored and handled by the Administrative Assistant.

Administrative Coordinator (2 positions) – These individuals will help with the work of the Administrative Department, and work will be divided evenly. One Administrative Coordinator will receive and process all enrollment forms. This person will be required to prepare and issue welcome packages to all new Girls of Virtue members. Along with maintaining the membership demographic sheet, this person will also be in charge of distributing updates to the appropriate department directors. The position requires follow-up correspondences with new members and a first 60 days review to make sure they are adjusting within the organization. This person will serve as an initial guide and valuable source of information. Responsibilities also include conducting new member orientation during monthly Friday Night Lives, which occur every fourth Friday of each month. The second Administrative Coordinator will receive and process all Volunteer and Mentor applications, including running background and reference checks. This person will make the initial call to welcome each volunteer to the organization and explain what is to be expected over the next 90 days. These positions will require a one-year commitment and five hours of devotion a month.

Development Director – Oversees all operations of the Development Department. Works with other team members to execute all fundraisers outlined in the Department booklet. This person will be responsible for seeking out and coordinating all donation items. This position will require a one-year commitment and 20 hours of devotion a month.

Development Coordinator (2 positions) – These individuals will help with the work of the Development Department. One Development Coordinator will consistently seek donations and discounted services including, but not limited to, rental space, food items and wish list items. All items donated will reduce the operating cost of the organization. The second Development Coordinator will be responsible for conducting fundraisers, including set-up for the kickoff pep rally and follow-up ensure sure that each fundraiser goal is met successfully. These positions will require a one-year commitment and five hours of devotion a month.

Executive Assistant – This person will assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operations of the organization, including sorting & responding to e-mails and responding to calls on the G.O.V. phone line. Responsibilities also include following up on the weekly or monthly task of each department, taking inventory of supplies and equipment, making sure deadlines are met, scheduling board meetings, recording minutes and following up on bi-monthly reports from each department.

Program Coordinators (2 positions) – These individuals help with the work of the Program Department. The Program Coordinators must be team players, willing to be trained, able to follow the organization’s policies and procedures, and possess the ability to complete assigned work by deadlines. Program Coordinators will assist in the planning of all activities including food preparation, booking venues & speakers, greeting visitors and much more. These positions will require a one-year commitment and five hours of devotion a month.

Grant Writer (2 positions) – These individuals will uphold the mission of Girls of Virtue, and maintain a personal commitment to its goals and objectives. The positions require the ability to research, explore and cultivate funding opportunities from state and federal agencies, public corporations, private foundations and individuals. Positions also involve researching and reporting on what other youth organizations throughout the country are doing to obtain grants. The Grant Writers will foster positive relationships with foundation and corporate funding sources and match prospective Girls of Virtue projects with potential funding resources. These individuals will also maintain records of grant deadlines and submission due dates, develop proposals in response to grant opportunities and prepare reports on grant activities.
Grant Writers should have:
o Consistently excellent written and oral communication skills, and superb critical-thinking skills.
o Experience in grant writing, with a focus in a non-profit setting highly desired,
o Excellent computer skills.
o A high level of energy and commitment to the mission and goals of the organization.
o High attention to detail and strong organization skills.
o Strong interest in fundraising and some interest in financial management.
